1 mile walking tour of the former Calumet Air Force Station. The tour will walk through the entire facility and visit some of the more unique buildings like the fallout shelter and the radar tower. Come experience some cold war history and the spectacular views at Mount Horace Greeley, the highest point in the Keweenaw Peninsula.
Tours are free. Donations are accepted at the end of the tour for participants who want to contribute to the restoration process.
Expect debris like broken glass and other hazards to be present. Flashlights are useful to bring, but not necessary. Participants must sign a liability waiver prior to the tour.
